Celebrating Our Wedding Industry Awards Regional Win

We're still pinching ourselves! On Monday 24th November, we attended The Wedding Industry Awards regional finals, and we're absolutely thrilled to announce that Lily Francis Bridal won Regional Winner for Best Bridal Retailer (Under 4 Years) for the East of England.

What Are The Wedding Industry Awards?

The Wedding Industry Awards (TWIA) represent one of the most prestigious accolades in the UK wedding industry. Unlike many awards programmes, TWIA winners aren't chosen by a panel of judges behind closed doors. Instead, they're determined by the people who matter most: real couples who've experienced our service firsthand.

Each year, couples vote for the wedding suppliers who made their special day truly unforgettable. From bridal boutiques to florists, photographers to venues, TWIA celebrates excellence across every aspect of wedding planning. The awards progress through regional finals, with regional winners then going forward to compete at the national finals in January.

Why We Enter

For us, entering The Wedding Industry Awards isn't about collecting trophies for the shelf (though we won't pretend we're not absolutely delighted!). It's about something much more meaningful.

It's a reflection of our brides' experiences. Every vote we receive represents a bride who felt beautiful, supported, and celebrated during her time with us. When a bride takes the time to nominate us, she's telling us that we didn't just sell her a dress, we created an experience she'll treasure alongside her wedding memories.

It holds us accountable. Knowing that our brides can publicly recognise our work motivates us to bring our absolute best to every appointment. Whether it's a bride's first visit or her last collection, we're reminded that these moments matter deeply.

It connects us to our community. The awards process brings together wedding professionals who share our passion for creating magical moments. We've formed wonderful friendships with other suppliers, and there's something special about being part of an industry that celebrates creativity, dedication, and love.

How It Feels to Win

Honestly? We're overwhelmed. Standing on that stage on Monday evening, holding our award, we kept thinking about all the beautiful brides who have walked through our doors. Every appointment, every fitting, every happy tear - they all led to this moment.

Winning the regional final for Best Bridal Retailer (Under 4 Years) in the East of England is validation that we're on the right path. We're still a relatively young boutique, and there were moments in those early days when we wondered if we were doing enough, being enough. This award tells us that yes, we are, and it's because of the trust our brides have placed in us.

To every single bride who voted for us, we cannot thank you enough. You didn't have to take the time out of your busy lives to nominate us, but you did. That means everything.

You've given us more than an award. You've given us confidence, joy, and the most wonderful reminder of why we love what we do. Every vote represents a bride we've had the honour of dressing, and knowing that we made your experience special enough to warrant your support has left us overwhelmed with gratitude.

What's Next?

We're heading to the National Finals in Liverpool this January, where we'll represent the East of England alongside regional winners from across the country. Being part of this industry, serving our brides, and now being recognised by them is a privilege we'll never take for granted. To everyone who has been part of our journey so far, whether as a bride, a friend or a supporter who's cheered us on - thank you from the bottom of our hearts.
