Benefits of Midweek & Off-Season Wedding Dates

Did you know that some wedding dates are more popular than others?
We’ve seen couples book years in advance just to secure a sunny summer Saturday - and we totally get it! There’s something undeniably magical about a midsummer wedding weekend.
But recently we've noticed a HUGE SHIFT.
Midweek and off-season weddings are having a moment - and for good reason!
Whether it’s a beautiful autumn Thursday or a crisp winter Sunday, more couples are embracing the charm (and benefits!) of choosing a less traditional date.

Here’s why:
🌸 More availability: Venues, photographers, florists - you name it - often have more flexibility and availability during the week or outside peak season. Making it more likely that those key suppliers that you love will be available. That means less stress, more options and fewer compromises.
💰 Budget-friendly: Many suppliers offer reduced rates for midweek or off-peak bookings. So, your dream wedding could come with a dream price tag too! Lots of brides are telling us that their wedding venue are adding lots of nice “extras” for booking these off-peak dates, such as having longer use of the venue (forget those 5am wake up calls as you can only get into the venue the morning of your wedding!).

💖 Intimate & unique: There’s something special about going against the grain. A Tuesday evening celebration or a cosy February ceremony can feel refreshingly personal, memorable and meaningful. Personally, I love a January wedding! Something nice to look forward to after Christmas.
If you’re planning your big day and haven’t nailed down a date yet, don’t be afraid to think outside the Saturday-in-August box. Your perfect day might just fall on a Thursday in April.
And whenever your special day is, we’ll be here to help you find the most perfect wedding dress!
